Patrick Sanders – illustrator
Patrick Sanders was a Portstewart born artist who lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He worked in a variety of art-related fields including theatre and community outreach. However, he always loved to draw.
As an illustrator, he specialised in using cartoons to document ideas and issues at conferences, consultations and other live events. His live drawing work took him across Europe working for a wide variety of clients.
Patrick was also resident cartoonist for NICVA’s online magazine Scope NI. He combined illustration and live performance on shows like “A Boy and his Box” (Replay) and “Once Upon A Time” (Young At Art Events). He was also one of the Northern Ireland Clown doctors, bringing play into hospital settings with Arts Care.
