No Alibis

Those of us who love to read and are lucky enough to live in Northern Ireland will no doubt be aware of the amazing Botanic Avenue bookshop No Alibis.

For those who don't know, No Alibis is an Independent Bookstore based in Belfast and they have been selling books on Botanic Avenue, within the Queen’s Quarter, for almost 25 years.

They are very much a community bookshop and despite the gruesome logo they are a general bookshop with a particular interest in children’s books, Irish literature, history and politics, the humanities and, of course, mystery fiction.

Patrick Sanders' father was a friend of the owner and he and Patrick would travel regularly down to Belfast from the North Coast where the family lived to purchase all kinds of books.

It was especially apt that No Alibis agreed to stock the book as soon as it was first printed in 2016 and they have kept a few copies in stock ever since. You should always be able to pop in (Monday to Saturday) to pick up a copy of Your Little Tiny Welcome To The Great Big Whole Wide World and other scarier titles too!
